EU Global Gateway Coordination Expert

About the role

NTU International is building a global network of senior experts to support the European Union’s Global Gateway Initiative. The role focuses on coordinating and preparing investment‑oriented development projects in partner countries that receive EU external cooperation support.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement reform strategies and policy actions aligned with Global Gateway priorities.
• Coordinate activities across priority sectors and among EU, partner‑country, and international stakeholders.
• Identify, prepare, and support investment projects that match the initiative’s objectives.
• Conduct regulatory, institutional and sector analyses to inform feasibility studies and pipeline development.
• Facilitate dialogue between government agencies, IFIs, private sector actors and development partners.
• Support donor coordination and ensure alignment with EU external cooperation frameworks.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of professional experience in development cooperation, infrastructure, investment or related fields.
• Proven track record in EU‑funded external cooperation programmes or similar international development initiatives.
• Experience working with partner‑country institutions, international financial institutions or private‑sector stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, coordination and stakeholder‑engagement capabilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (minimum C1 level).
