Laboratory Technician

About the role

The Laboratory Technician will provide technical and operational support for laboratory diagnosis, quality assurance and related activities, working closely with project and headquarters teams to ensure high‑quality results.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical direction and guidance to project staff, ensuring alignment with project outcomes and laboratory system strengthening.
• Monitor and maintain project protocols, instruments, data sets, manuals and training materials, and prepare technical reports.
• Analyze project implementation to identify improvement areas in diagnosis and QA, and propose technical strategies.
• Coordinate and lead technical project activities, develop work plans, and track budgets and expenditures.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in public health, medical laboratory or related field (or equivalent).
• At least 6 years of relevant experience managing data collection and providing technical assistance.
• Fluent in English and Khmer.

Required skills

• Laboratory diagnosis and quality‑assurance techniques.
• Data analysis and interpretation.
• Report writing and technical documentation.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
