Legal Data Analyst (Remote)

About the role

The Legal Data Analyst will collect, analyse and interpret legal and regulatory data to support decision‑making, compliance oversight and risk management. Working remotely, you will combine legal expertise with data‑analytics techniques to turn contracts, case records and policy documents into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse complex legal datasets (litigation outcomes, regulatory filings, contract terms) to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Translate findings into insights for legal strategy, compliance and business decisions.
• Create and maintain high‑quality training data, craft prompts for large language models and evaluate model outputs.
• Support regulatory compliance by analysing emerging requirements and mapping them to internal processes.
• Design interactive dashboards and management reports using BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Lead automation initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce operational risk.
• Implement data‑governance practices, including classification, retention and quality standards for legal data assets.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in legal analysis, legal operations, compliance analytics or data analysis within a legal environment.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet demanding deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL for querying large datasets.
• Python for data analysis.
• Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau or similar).
