MEP Project Engineer – Projects Manager

About the role

The MEP Project Engineer – Projects Manager will lead the planning, execution, testing, commissioning and handover of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and related building services for airport and large‑scale commercial projects. Working on‑site in the Comoros, you will ensure all MEP works meet design intent, regulatory standards and the client’s operational requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Direct the full lifecycle of MEP works from design review through construction, commissioning and close‑out.
• Manage mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, fire alarm, life‑safety, smoke control, drainage, water supply, lighting, power distribution, ELV, BMS, access control, CCTV and specialist building‑services systems.
• Coordinate MEP activities across airport terminals, concourses, retail areas, lounges, back‑of‑house zones and live operational environments.
• Review and approve drawings, shop drawings, coordination documents, method statements, material submittals and technical queries.
• Oversee testing procedures, commissioning plans and handover documentation to ensure compliance with airport authority standards and international codes.

Required profile

• Strong technical expertise in MEP engineering and systems integration.
• Proven project‑management capability, including planning, budgeting and schedule control.
• Experience coordinating multi‑disciplinary teams and managing contractors on complex infrastructure projects.
• Ability to work in live airport environments while maintaining safety and operational continuity.
