Software Engineer Annotator (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer Annotator to work remotely on high-quality software engineering datasets that train AI and large language models. The role combines solid programming expertise with careful data labeling to improve code-generation models.

Key responsibilities

• Review AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, readability and security.
• Annotate and label datasets covering code completion, debugging, refactoring and optimization tasks.
• Provide structured feedback to data scientists and AI trainers to enhance model performance.
• Ensure all annotations follow established guidelines and quality standards.
• Collaborate with reviewers, data engineers and product teams across the AI training pipeline.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience with data annotation, AI training or code review is a plus.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle, APIs and backend systems.
• Basic familiarity with AI, machine learning or LLM concepts.

Required skills

• Programming languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, Go.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms and software engineering principles.
• Experience with annotation platforms or labeling tools.
• Ability to evaluate and rank multiple AI-generated code responses.
