Space Applications Expert – Earth Observation & Copernicus

About the role

NTU International is seeking a highly qualified Space Applications Expert to support the Africa‑EU Space Partnership Programme. The role focuses on developing, deploying and promoting Earth Observation services and Copernicus‑based solutions that address climate, environmental and development challenges across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver EO services and applications using Copernicus data and products.
• Support the uptake of EO solutions in sectors such as early warning, climate monitoring, agriculture, water management and biodiversity.
• Collaborate with African institutions, policy makers and private sector partners to ensure relevance and impact.
• Contribute to knowledge exchange, capacity building and innovation within the Africa‑EU space ecosystem.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in geomatics, remote sensing, environmental science, meteorology, engineering or a related field.
• Excellent command of English; working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese is an asset.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in Earth Observation, geospatial services or climate/environmental services.
• At least 4 years of experience designing or delivering EO services with Copernicus data, preferably in early‑warning, climate, environment, agriculture, water or biodiversity.
• Experience working with African institutions or facilitating user uptake is a plus.
