Academic Coordinator – Curriculum & Teacher Support

About the role

The Academic Coordinator will lead curriculum development, teacher support, and assessment processes at Albert International Academy’s Toul Kork Campus. Reporting to the Campus Manager and Academic Director, the role ensures high‑quality education aligned with the Western Australian curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Head of Academic Department to design long‑term, medium‑term and short‑term instructional plans and syllabuses.
• Lead curriculum development, evaluation and integration of cross‑curricular priorities such as literacy, numeracy and ICT.
• Provide leadership and professional development for teachers, including classroom observations, feedback and data‑driven instruction.
• Coordinate assessment strategies, moderation processes and timely reporting of student progress to parents.
• Organise extracurricular events, gifted and talented programs, remedial support and enrichment activities.
• Manage educational technology tools to enhance teaching and learning.
• Promote a culture of academic excellence, inclusivity and continuous improvement.
• Engage with parents, caregivers and the wider community to support student success.

Required profile

• Experience in curriculum design and implementation within an international or Australian curriculum framework.
• Proven ability to mentor and support teachers in instructional practices.
• Strong analytical skills for monitoring student data and assessment outcomes.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills for working with staff, students and families.
• Commitment to inclusive education and continuous school improvement.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the Western Australian curriculum standards.
• Familiarity with integrating literacy, numeracy and ICT across subjects.
• Ability to use educational technology platforms for teaching and assessment.
