Remote Accountant – US GAAP / UK GAAP Expertise

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our remote team. You will be responsible for daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and ensuring tax compliance while providing strategic insights to support business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions, including expenses, revenue, and invoices in the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP or UK GAAP/IFRS.
• Perform bank reconciliations, monitor accounts payable/receivable, and ensure tax compliance.
• Compute tax payments, prepare tax returns, and process payroll in line with local regulations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, expense monitoring, and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP or UK Accounting Principles (IFRS/UK GAAP).
• Professional certification preferred (CPA for US, ACCA/ACA/CIMA for UK).
• Excellent analytical abilities, high attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or SAP.
