Director of Engineering

About the role

As the Director of Engineering of Mövenpick Moroni, Comoros, you will serve as a strategic and operational leader responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability, efficiency, and long‑term sustainability of all hotel facilities, infrastructure, technical systems, and physical assets. The hotel is a landmark hospitality destination with 159 guestrooms and extensive leisure, wellness, and dining facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all engineering and maintenance activities across guestrooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house facilities.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximise asset lifespan.
• Oversee energy, water and utility consumption optimisation and drive sustainability initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety legislation and brand standards.
• Collaborate with the General Manager and senior leadership on capital planning, technical risk management and major projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior engineering leadership within the hospitality sector.
• Strong ability to build collaborative relationships with senior management, owners and external partners.
