Document Analyst – Remote (Worldwide)

About the role

The Document Analyst will work remotely to review, verify, and analyse a wide range of documents, ensuring their accuracy, authenticity, and compliance with internal policies and global regulations. This position supports operational integrity by spotting discrepancies, fraud attempts, and procedural gaps.

Key responsibilities

• Validate data extracted from IDs, proof‑of‑address documents, financial statements, legal contracts, and medical forms.
• Detect sophisticated fraud such as photoshopped IDs, counterfeit documents, and deep‑fake verification attempts using forensic techniques.
• Handle edge cases involving damaged, non‑standard, or foreign‑jurisdiction documents.
• Collaborate with policy and product teams to develop and refine annotation guidelines for diverse global documents.
• Provide feedback to ML engineers and data scientists on model performance and contribute to golden datasets.
• Perform quality checks on annotations and maintain high inter‑annotator agreement.
• Ensure workflows comply with KYC, AML, GDPR, eIDAS and other relevant regulations.
• Identify opportunities to streamline review processes and reduce manual effort.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in document analysis, identity verification, KYC/AML operations, or data extraction within fintech, legal‑tech, trust & safety, or AI training environments.
• Deep knowledge of global identity, financial, and legal documents.
• Proven ability to recognise advanced document fraud and biometric inconsistencies.
• Familiarity with KYC/AML frameworks and data‑privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA).

Required skills

• Experience with OCR software and document verification tools.
• Use of annotation platforms for data labeling.
• Working with structured data formats such as JSON, XML, and CSV.
